I love Bob Marley and his legacy of love. He said to, “Lively up yourself!

He said, “Don’t worry about a thing… every little thing is gonna be a’right.”

He asked people to Get Up and Stand Up for their rights. He spoke of One Love.

He asked if we could be loved if we stood up for ourselves and spoke our mind (here’s the original video):

Could you be loved?

Like millions worldwide, I love his legacy and I’ve been a fan since I was a child. He perks me up, even when plans go to shit.  And sometimes plans do go to sh*t because life is complicated and the only thing we can control is what we put in.

And when life gets too complicated (from the daily grind with kiddies, work, money, etc.) it can be all too easy to forget our own long-term priorities and goals.

My mission and intention for you over the next couple of weeks is to Simplify and Amplify.

Week One

Make Space for Living More

Day 1: Speak to fewer friends, but have a real heart-to-heart with those you do speak with, so you can connect deeply and meaningfully.

Day 2: DO LESS with your kids, but BE MORE with them and for them. Be awesomely present (let them be the boss for an hour).

Day 3: Cut the crap in your inbox by half. This is hard work, but worth it. Clock yourself: Hocus Focus for 30 minutes and unsubscribe from anything that doesn’t fuel your heart.

Day 4: Purge your closet. Remove anything you don’t feel amazing in. Use what’s left to be insanely creative in cooking up new outfits.

Day 5: Eat more leftovers. Doesn’t sound sexy, but cooking enough for a few meals translates into spending more time with your family and loved ones.

Day 6: Whatever you “should” do, park it. Just slow the ‘eff down for a day and chill out.

Day 7: Celebrate what you’ve done. FEEL the space.

By the end of this first week you should start feeling more relaxed about life and even if your plans for the week turn to shit and your inbox is full of crap again, you should still start feeling yourself open up to a simplified you because now you have the tools and knowledge to do something about it.

So, where do you go from here?

Amplify and Live more! Next time, I’ll lead you through 7 steps on how to Amplify the most awesome parts of your life.

In the meantime, share what you’ve done in the comments below and tell us why it was worth it.
